Benefit Porefessional Gift Set (Review)

Hi everyone, how are you? I hope you're all good.
As you all know, Benefit's Porefessional Primer is a primer that is renown on the blog/youtube front, and even more so recently. Benefit takes to Twitter on a daily basis to tell followers that they can purchase any product and get the porefessional deluxe sample at no extra cost, at 'pore o'clock' (4pm GMT) , as well as promoting the product using 'the spy gals' which is a fun incentive.
Of course, I'd known about the Porefessional for ages, but I just wondered about buying it. Finally, a couple of weeks ago, I decided to go for it. I bought it in a 'Boxing Day set' which is available for purchase here (I got mine from Boots in Westfield Stratford City). The 'Boxing Day' set includes a full size of the Porefessional primer and travel sizes of 'that gal' brightening primer and 'its potent!' eye cream. It is a better deal to go with this set because it comes with two extra products and is the same price as the porefessional primer on its own. (£24.50) I haven't yet tried the two extra products, I have just focused on using the porefessional.

I have been using this product for a few weeks now, and I have to say it works pretty well. It makes my skin feel really smooth and does refine the appearance of pores. (note: the porefessional does not completely get rid of pores, it just minimises the appearance of them. You may need to top up with the porefessional during the day if your pores reappear.) I think that my favourite thing about this product is the fact that it is SO silky and hence, creates a great base for foundation. It leaves your face feeling very soft and matte, a bit like a porcelain doll. It is translucent which makes it look great on all skin-tones, and is also slightly scented but not strong at all.

This is by far the best primer I have used. I have quite large pores and it helps cover them up and keeps my foundation put. (I don't wear foundation regularly, but when I do I use the porefessional prior to applying it.)

In contrast to NYX's 'pore filler' the porefessional is so much better. The pore filler didn't really work for me for some reason.

Overall, in my opinion, the Porefessional works a treat and I recommend it! It is suitable for people with dry or oily skin-it is not aimed specifically at one or the other.

If you have tried this product before, what do you think of it? Let me know in the comment section below!

Thanks for reading, hope you all have a great week.
